E-Safety

The online world is posing an ever-increasing risk to children, and it is important that schools and families work together to take an active role in teaching children about online dangers and how to act safely when using the Internet. We make sure we talk about e-safety little and often and we encourage our children to ask questions and share any worries they have.

Each year, we celebrate Safer Internet Day. As part of this day, our children take part in a number of activities and class discussions regarding staying safe online and what we can all do to help make the Internet a safe and respectful environment for all.

At St Mary's, we also subscribe to a cloud based platform called Purple Mash.  each child has their own unique login details and the platform provides a wealth of resources to support e-safety.
